We are seeking a Principal Implementation Consultant to lead complex enterprise implementations and serve as a senior technical authority across customer engagements.
This role is designed for someone who has deep experience with marketing automation platforms such as Braze, Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and similar tools, and who can operate at both a strategic and highly technical level. You will be the lead technical architect for client onboardings, taking point on integrating Sageflo’s distributing marketing solution with client marketing automation systems, provide guidance to clients on enterprise data integrations, and establish implementation standards that elevate Sageflo’s delivery practice.
You are comfortable owning ambiguity, advising senior client stakeholders, and designing solutions that balance marketing goals with technical constraints.
- Lead end-to-end Sageflo implementation projects for clients using platforms such as Braze, Iterable, Zeta and Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Lead technical discovery sessions and translate business objectives into robust technical designs
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and distributed marketing campaign architecture
- Consistently communicate on project deliverables with internal teams and clients
- Acting as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) to clients, with the ability to speak confidently about their deliverables, ideas, and best practices
- Configure and deploy distributed marketing messaging programs across email, push, in-app, and SMS channels
- Build and QA dynamic messaging templates using:
- HTML for email
- Liquid tags
- Handlebars
- Partner with customer engineering and marketing teams to implement APIs, data feeds, and event schemas
- Create clear documentation for internal and external stakeholders
- Troubleshoot integration and rendering issues across platforms and devices
- Support pre-sale opportunities with scoping, planning, and presentations
- Provide best-practice guidance on distributed marketing strategy, messaging infrastructure, and platform governance
- Establish best practices for implementation methodology and documentation
- Bring new ideas, recommendations, and solution write-ups to other Implementation Consultants directly, within projects, or during office hours
- 5 years of hands-on experience in the marketing technology and lifecycle marketing space, including technical consulting and/or agency experience
- Expertise in one or more of Braze, Iterable, Zeta, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or comparable marketing automation platforms
- Deep understanding of event-driven architectures and customer journey-based messaging systems
- Advanced experience building dynamic templates using HTML (email-specific best practices), scripting languages such as Liquid, Handlebars and Ampscript
- Ability to read and understand JSON payloads and customer data models
- Strong documentation skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts
- Excellent client-facing communication skills
- Exceptional documentation and technical writing skills
- Experience working in an agency or consultancy environment
- Familiarity with CDPs, data warehouses, and event-driven architectures
- Experience defining governance frameworks for lifecycle marketing teams
- Past work with franchise and/or multi-location clients running local marketing programs is a plus

Pay: $109,379.00 - $139,424.17 per year
