What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Before and After School Teacher position at Sagebrush Montessori?
Sagebrush Montessori is seeking a childcare Lead Teacher for our elementary before and after school childcare program. Schedule is Monday-Friday split shift 7:00-9:00 am and 12:00 - 6:00 pm.
Interested candidates should have a love of working with children, a range of crafty skills, and a love of the outside. You should also be tidy, organized, reliable and responsible.
Responsibilities include
- Create engaging and educational lesson plans for children in the afterschool program.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and play.
- Implement age-appropriate activities to promote development in various areas.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including CPR and food handling.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
Interested candidates should have or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid training, Childcare Basics (30 STARS hour), negative TB test, Bloodborne Pathogens training, a Washington State Food Handler's Card, proof of measles immunity, and a Portable Background Check through DCYF.
