What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computer Aided Design Designer position at Sagebrush Equipment?
Sagebrush Pipeline Equipment is hiring a CAD Designer to support a growing backlog of engineered‑to‑order manufacturing projects in the natural gas, pipeline, power generation, and midstream markets. This role focuses on creating fabrication‑ready CAD drawings for integrated, skid‑mounted systems. Designers work closely with engineers and manufacturing teams to deliver accurate drawing packages used directly in production. These are net new positions for Sagebrush Equipment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own complete CAD drawing sets for modular and skid‑mounted equipment
- Design piping layouts, component placement, and structural elements within compact systems
- Produce fabrication‑ready drawings and detailed Bills of Materials
- Translate engineering specifications into production drawings and ERP‑ready documentation
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams
- Support projects from concept through customer approval, fabrication, and as‑built documentation
- Work across mechanical, piping, and structural elements with some exposure to electrical and instrumentation layouts
What We’re Looking For (Must‑Have)
- 3 years of CAD experience in a manufacturing environment
- Systems‑level CAD experience rather than parts‑only design
- Proven ability to produce fabrication‑level drawings
- Proficiency in AutoCAD required on day one
- Experience with mechanical and piping layouts for integrated equipment
- Ability to work onsite in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have
- 3D AutoCAD experience
- CADWorx experience
- Engineered‑to‑order manufacturing background
- Experience with skid‑mounted equipment, pipeline systems, or industrial process equipment
- Structural steel experience
- Exposure to electrical and instrumentation layouts
