This role exists at a defining moment as the next generation of Sage 50 transitions into a fully cloud platform, including embedded AI capabilities through Sage Copilot, built for the next generation of small businesses.
You’ll own the product marketing strategy for Sage 50 as it enters its next chapter - shaping how the platform is positioned, adopted, and scaled in the market. Product Marketing owns the strategy that connects product direction to revenue growth. In this role, you’ll partner closely with Product Management to help define the strategic direction of the Sage 50 portfolio over the next 3–5 years, grounded in market dynamics, customer needs, and regional priorities. You’ll translate that strategy into clear value propositions, positioning, pricing and packaging, and launch plans, then work with the Go-to-Market Execution team to bring those strategies to life — driving adoption, revenue, and market share growth in the US and Canada.

Qualifications:
- 8 years of product marketing experience, including experience operating at a Director level with ownership of strategy, positioning, and go-to-market execution.
- Experience product marketing accounting, financial software, ERP, or complex B2B SaaS technology products
- Proven experience launching cloud-based technology products, including bringing new platforms or capabilities to market in competitive environments.
- Strong command of core product marketing disciplines, including positioning, messaging, value propositions, pricing and packaging, and launch strategy.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels, translating market insight and product direction into clear, executable go-to-market plans.
- Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and channel teams in a matrixed organization.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
- Comfort presenting and representing products externally, including with customers, partners, or industry audiences, as well as internally.
- A creative, market-driven mindset, balanced with the discipline to execute in complex, fast-moving environments

- Own category strategy: Partner with Product Management to help define the strategic direction for Sage 50 in the US and Canada, grounded in market dynamics, customer needs, and long-term growth opportunities.
- Define and drive growth strategy: Translate market opportunity and customer insight into clear growth strategies and go-to-market plans that drive adoption, revenue, and market share.
- Be the market and customer expert: Maintain a deep understanding of target segments, customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging trends — turning insight into actionable product marketing strategy.
- Lead positioning and value propositions: Define differentiated value propositions, positioning, and messaging that resonate with specific audiences and clearly articulate Sage 50’s value in the market.
- Own pricing and packaging strategy: Lead pricing, packaging, and tiering decisions in partnership with Product and Commercial teams to align customer value with business outcomes.
- Set launch strategy and activation: Define launch strategy for new capabilities and value propositions, then work with the Go-to-Market Execution team to bring them to market effectively and at scale.
- Guide external narrative and influence: Shape external messaging, thought leadership, and market presence, including analyst engagement and support for PR activities tied to launches and category momentum.
