We’re looking for an Ammonia/Boiler Technician to help us maintain and operate our refrigeration, boiler, and plant utility systems in a safe and efficient manner.
Qualifications:What You’ll Do

Operate, monitor, and maintain ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, air compressors, and plant utilities.

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to keep equipment reliable.

Conduct daily inspections and log operational data.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, IIAR/PSM/RMP, USDA, and BRC food safety standards.

Respond to alarms, breakdowns, and emergency calls to minimize downtime.

Support audits and inspections by maintaining accurate records and reports.

Work closely with the maintenance and production teams to support plant operations.
What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school a plus.

2 years of experience with ammonia refrigeration and/or boiler operation (food manufacturing experience preferred).

RETA Certification (CARO/CIRO) or boiler operator license is a plus.

Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards, IIAR/PSM, RMP, and food safety compliance.

Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call as needed.
Physical Requirements

Able to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces.

Able to lift 50 lbs. regularly.

Comfortable working in hot, cold, and noisy environments.
