What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Supervisor & Associate Therapist Posting position at Sage Therapy?
Sage Therapy Chicago is currently seeking a Fully Licensed Clinician (LCSW, LCPC, PsyD, or PhD) who is interested in joining the team by working as a Clinical Supervisor and Associate Therapist. We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and creative therapist to join our supportive and fun team, and who can also serve as a leader and mentor to our pre and provisionally-licensed clinicians. We incorporate a hybrid model of services, including telehealth to the greater Chicago area, in-person sessions at our downtown office (155 N Michigan Ave), Wicker Park office (1811 W North Ave), and/or Lakeview Office (3047 N Lincoln Ave), and group therapy. In-person sessions and group therapy are 100% optional to clinicians as we support the choice to work completely remote.
We provide the tools you need so that you can focus your energy on building your caseload and providing excellent quality mental health treatment for your clients and supervision. Resources provided by Sage Therapy include: marketing to obtain a steady stream of clients for you, billing and credentialing services, liability insurance, onboarding new clients, and office space if/when seeing clients in person. This position includes competitive pay and flexibility with regard to the total number of hours and available days and times. Clinicians must be open to work evenings and/or weekends.
We provide 1:1 weekly supervision to pre- and provisionally licensed therapists and twice a month group supervision (optional) to all. We also hold a fully licensed monthly consultation group (optional). Additionally, we offer opportunities for professional growth through program development, community outreach, and creative endeavors through blogging, vlogging, and brand development. We offer funding toward CEU credits and trainings of your choice, as well as in-house trainings, lunch and learns, all staff meetings, and consultation groups. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Provide guidance, support, and skills to supervisees;
- Provide excellent, evidence-based therapy;
- Help clients develop skills and set tangible goals to improve mental health.
- Other appropriate and related therapeutic services, as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree;
- Licensed Clinician/psychologist in the state of Illinois: LCPC, LCSW, PsyD, PhD
- Experience in supervising (ideal but not required)
- Adherence to standards of service operations, documentation, and confidentiality at all times;
- Must be independent, driven, open-minded, compassionate, interpersonal, and a team player;
- Must be interested and excited to be part of a growing practice;
- Embrace a growth mindset - you feel confident in your abilities as a therapist and are also willing to learn;
- Have excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organizational/time management skills;
- Have experience working with adults, adolescents, and/or couples;
- Have experience working with psychosocial issues such as work/life balance, stress management, depression, relationship issues, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, substance abuse, and life transitions;
- Ability to use electronic/digital devices and applications for long, uninterrupted periods of time.
Education:
- Master's (Required), Doctorate (if applicable)
Experience:
- Experience in supervising (ideal but not required)
- Experience in direct client care
- Pay may depend on skills and/or qualifications
- Experience in a private practice setting (ideal but not required)
Physical Needs & Equipment
- A quiet, private (confidential) space;
- A web camera (built into a laptop/desktop);
- Laptop, iPad, or computer that is capable of streaming video;
- Great internet connection (must be able to stream without an issue).
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends
- Will collaboratively set your schedule/hours in a 1:1 meeting with the Owner of the practice to times that meet the needs of the practice and fit your schedule.
- Given the nature of private practice and the necessity of seeing clients at times that work best for them, clinicians must be open to working some evening times and potentially one day over the weekend.
Work Setting:
- This position is predominantly remote through teletherapy, with opportunities to see clients in-person (optional) at our downtown office, as well as provide group therapy (optional) in person and/or remotely.
