What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Benefits Manager position at Sage Sustainable Electronics?
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Payroll and Benefits Manager to lead payroll operations and benefits administration within our Paycom HRIS environment. As the internal subject matter expert, you will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for a multi-state organization. The ideal candidate will leverage Paycom’s full functionality to automate workflows, optimize reporting, and maintain data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
• End-to-End Payroll Processing: Manage the entire payroll cycle in Paycom, including reviewing Personnel Action Forms (PAFs), processing new hires, terminations, salary changes, and deductions.
• Paycom System Optimization: Serve as the primary Paycom administrator, configuring system workflows, earnings/deduction codes, and time-and-attendance rules to maximize efficiency.
• Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits enrollment, changes, and reconciliation within Paycom’s Benefits Administration module, ensuring seamless integration with carrier data.
• Compliance & Tax: Ensure strict adherence to multi-state payroll laws, FLSA, tax compliance, garnishments, and benefits regulations (COBRA, ACA, FMLA).
• Reporting & Reconciliation: Utilize Paycom reporting tools to reconcile payroll registers, GL data, and benefits invoices to support accounting.
• Employee Support: Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay and benefits, providing exceptional service and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Year-End Procedures: Oversee year-end processes, including W-2 balancing, 1095-C documentation, and auditing in Paycom.
Qualifications:
• 5 years of full-cycle payroll experience required, with at least 1-2 years working directly in the Paycom HRIS platform.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Paycom Payroll, Time & Attendance, Benefits Administration, and Reporting modules.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of multi-state payroll regulations, garnishments, and tax compliance.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources preferred.
• Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to manage tight deadlines.
• Certifications: CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) is a plus
