Distribution Center Manager Role
The Distribution Center Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the distribution center. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the overall planning, organizing, and operations of the distribution center
- Overseeing all distribution functions, including facilities and maintenance, safety, order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, returns, and receiving
- Ensuring compliance with all administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and government regulations
- Monitored operation's flow and investigating unusual delays or problem areas
Main Responsibilities
- Development of strategic plans to meet customer needs
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business solutions
- Maintain accurate records and reports, providing insights into key performance indicators
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in management required
- Seven to Ten years' operations management experience in the areas of warehousing, freight, and logistics (domestic and international) is required
- Managerial experience within a multi-unit environment a plus
