Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene procedures
- Support meal preparation for catering events or special functions as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service
- Demonstrate excellent knife skills and food industry knowledge during daily tasks
Experience
- Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant as a line cook.
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques essential
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods necessary for success in this role
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
