Sage International School – Middleton - a public school of choice - is seeking applicants to fill a FULL TIME Elementary Counselor position for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Description:
The position of School Counselor at Sage plays an integral role in the educational environment
by providing support and advocacy to all students. The counselor designs and delivers
comprehensive school counseling programs that promote academic success and student well-being.
Qualifications:
· Hold a Master’s degree from a state-approved school counselor program and an Idaho Pupil Personnel Services Certificate with a Counselor Endorsement (K-12)
· Demonstrate solid understanding of school programming, counseling techniques and theory across a K-12 setting
· Foster strong relationships with students, staff, families, and community members
· Understand and be responsive to the developmental characteristics and needs of students in K-1
· Have prior experience serving the needs of students in K-2
· Understand and utilizes student data to guide decision-making
· Commitment to identification and support of all student needs
· Be well-versed in educational privacy laws (FERPA) and consistently follows confidentiality guidelines and practices accurate documentation
· Be able to triage responsibilities to balance demands for counseling services
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
· Support of Students & Stakeholders
· Coordinate and deliver an appropriate core curriculum to support student well-being
· Provide responsive services including individual and small group instruction/support, referrals/resources, and consultation
· Act as a key resource and support for K-5 students, parents, and staff
· Assist with the identification and support of struggling students through active participation within multi-disciplinary teams; work collaboratively with K-5 staff and other personnel
· Case manages 504 Plans in grades K-5
· Other duties as assigned
Office Management
· Maintain a professional office environment
· Provide interim assistance to students or parents with urgent needs
· Maintain student records and ensure their confidentiality
· Other duties as assigned
