You'll partner with our Operations and Processing teams (internal and partner) to guide prospective and existing clients by phone and email through loan products, prequalification, and next steps, manage a robust pipeline, make outbound calls to generate new business, and own the client experience from first conversation through closing. What You’ll Do
- Answer inbound calls from homeowners to discuss refinance and HELOC products, prequalification criteria, and next steps.
- Educate clients on how rate-and-term refinances, cash-out refinances, and HELOCs can help them reach their goals, such as lowering their payment, consolidating debt, funding home improvements, or accessing home equity.
- Communicate loan progress clearly to consumers and collect any required documentation.
- Make outbound sales calls to prospective and existing customers, including past clients with refinance or equity opportunities, to generate new business and strengthen retention.
- Monitor and actively manage a pipeline of leads and loans to meet conversion goals and cycle time targets.
- Partner with our Operations and Processing teams (internal and partner) to move refinance and HELOC loans smoothly from application through closing.
- At least 1 year of mortgage sales experience with a proven track record of performance and client trust.
- NMLS-licensed mortgage loan originator with hands-on experience originating refinance loans; HELOC origination experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of FHA, VA, and Conventional refinance products and HELOC products, and how their unique benefits serve clients.
- Familiarity with home equity concepts such as LTV and CLTV, and the ability to explain the tradeoffs between refinance and HELOC options in plain language.
- Strong knowledge of consumer lending regulations, including fair lending, privacy, RESPA, and TILA, and a commitment to always doing the right thing.
- Excellent phone sales skills with the ability to connect, empathize, and guide clients confidently through the loan process.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while consistently meeting deadlines and service expectations.
- A natural relationship-builder who can collaborate across teams and foster trust with both internal partners and external clients.
- Demonstrated coachability, adaptability, and a growth mindset, always striving to leave the woodpile higher.
