Pay Rate: Range $4000 to $4400 Weekly Gross Pay based on a 40-hour work week (Includes Non-taxable
travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)
Unit: LTC
Shifts available: Days
Schedule: 40 hours/week guaranteed, 5 X 8-hr shifts per week, Monday - Friday, One weekend per month, Participate in on-call rotation
Position Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse experience: 3 to 5 years - Required
- Prior Leadership or Management experience (DON or Similar) –
2 years – Required
- Leadership or management experience in LTC – Preferred
- Matrix EMR – Preferred
- Must have own transportation
- Travel contracts experience –
Highly preferred
Education, License
and Certification Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing - Required
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing - Preferred
- RN License for State of MI - Required
- BLS Certifications from AHA - Required
- Infection Control Certification - Required
Job Description:
Clinical & Resident Care
- Oversee all nursing services to ensure safe, effective, and
compassionate resident care
- Ensure proper assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
of resident care
- Monitor resident outcomes and address quality-of-care concerns
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare
professionals
Leadership & Staff Management
- Supervise and support nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and nurse
managers)
- Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate nursing staff
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive work environment
- Address staff performance issues and conduct disciplinary actions when
necessary
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g.,
CMS, state health departments)
- Prepare for and participate in surveys, inspections, and audits
- Develop and implement policies and procedures consistent with
regulations
- Lead quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives
Administrative & Operational Duties
- Develop and manage nursing department budgets
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and efficient use of resources
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation
- Participate in facility leadership meetings and strategic planning
- Education & Staff Development
- Ensure ongoing education, training, and competency evaluations for
nursing staff
- Stay current with best practices in long-term care nursing
- Promote infection control, safety, and
risk management programs
Salary : $4,000 - $4,400
