Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Long-Term Care Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care for long-term residents.

Position Details:

Position Name: RN - Long Term Care (LTC)

Contract Length:13 weeks

Pay Rate: $3000 weekly Gross pay based on a 48-hour work week (Includes non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)

Unit: LTC

Shift available: Nights

Shift timings: 12 Hours; Nights, 7.00 pm - 7.30 am

Schedule: 48 hours/week guaranteed, 4 shifts per week, M-F, with weekends as needed. Holiday rotation if needed, 36 hrs available

Position Requirements:

• 2 Years Experience in LTC, SNF, Med Surg setting (no hospital/medical center Med Surg experience is needed, Med Surg experience in a LTC setting will be considered

• Travel experience (Minimum of 1 successful contract assignment) – Required

• May be asked to work charge RN shifts – must be comfortable

Education, License, and Certification Requirements:

• RN License for the State of MI - Required

• BLS Certifications from AHA or ARC - Required

Job Description:

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and facility policies and procedures.
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatments and examinations of residents.
• Observes residents, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor, physician and family of resident’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents
• Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of resident.
• Assigns duties and coordinates nursing services on the resident unit to ensure resident needs are met in accordance with instructions of Physician, federal and state regulations and facility procedures.
• Consults with Shift Supervisor on nursing problems and interpretation of facility policies to insure resident needs are met.

• Report all complaints or unusual problems to supervisor. Assist with completion of facility complaint report.
• Participates in orientation and training and evaluating of nursing personnel.
• Evaluates nursing activities to ensure resident care, staff relations, and efficiency of service.
• Assigns duties and coordinates nursing service on the resident unit.
• Observes nursing care and visits residents to ensure that nursing care is carried out as directed, and treatment administered in accordance with Physician's instructions.
• Assumes responsibility and maintains records for unit narcotics.
• Inspects resident rooms and the unit for cleanliness and comfort.
• Responsible to document admissions, discharges, transfers and incident reports per facility policies and procedures.
• Participate in the care plan process, completes nursing assessments and resident care plans accurately and timely on assigned residents.
• Completes special projects and audits at the direction of the Supervisor, CCC, or Director of Nursing.
• Maintain all educational requirements for the State of Michigan to keep license current. Attend facility in services and ward conferences as assigned.
• Maintain resident confidentiality; treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect; know and comply with all Residents' Rights rules; and promptly report all resident accidents and injuries to the charge nurse.
• Must have regular and attendance.
• All other duties as assigned.
