Operations Lead, Sage Truckload

Role Overview:

The Truckload Operations Leader provides strategic leadership and oversight of Sage Truckload’s operational functions, ensuring the alignment of resources, processes, and people to achieve company goals. This role directs the Operations, Maintenance, Recruiting, Onboarding, Pricing, and works alongside the Safety department, driving operational excellence, profitability, and compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

·      Lead fleet Operations, Customer Service, and Overall Business Performance

·      Direct Pricing, Contract Performance, Customer Expansion, and Profitable Growth Strategy 

·      Oversee Fleet Maintenance, Equipment Availability, Asset Utilization, and Replacement Planning

·      Lead Driver Recruiting, Onboarding, Retention, and Workforce Readiness

·      Back-office Ops and Daily Execution Support

·      Drive Safety Partnership, KPI Reporting, Risk Awareness, and Executive Accountability

Qualifications and Requirements:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, L&T Operations Management, or related field preferred

·      10 Years of Progressive Experience in Truckload, Dedicated, or similar

·      Experience in leadership of dedicated fleet operations and customer site personnel. P&L Ownership or responsibility for operating profitability.

·      Ability to travel to dedicated fleet locations, customer sites, vendors, maintenance locations required as needed.
