What are the responsibilities and job description for the Demolition Heavy Equipment Operator position at Sage Demolition?
Sage Demolition is looking for a dependable, experienced heavy equipment operator to run machinery on a variety of demolition projects — from single-family homes to large commercial and industrial structures.
Pay: $25/hr – $40/hr, based on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, skid steers, etc.) on demolition job sites
- Perform demolition work on structures ranging from residential homes to large commercial/industrial buildings
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Coordinate with site supervisors and crew to maintain safe, efficient job site operations
- Sort and manage debris/materials as needed on-site
- Efficiently load and manage trucks to facilitate removal of materials from job site
- Help line out laborers and crew on job site
Required
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, or similar)
- Drivers license and clean driving record (MVR review required)
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen & adhere to company drug & alcohol policy
- Valid DOT Medical certificate
- Strong sense of punctuality and reliability
- Ability to work in outdoor, active construction/demolition environments
Preferred
- Familiarity with demolition or construction job site operations
- Experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment (crushers, bulldozers, etc)
- Proficient in Spanish
