What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Driver - End Dump, Side Dump, Transport position at Sage Demolition?
Sage Demolition is looking for a dependable, safety-conscious CDL Truck Driver to join our crew. You'll play a key role in our demolition operations — hauling debris and materials efficiently while keeping our job sites running on schedule. Every day starts and ends at our shop in Layton, Utah.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate high-side end dump and side dumps safely and efficiently
- Safely transport and dump demolition debris, concrete, asphalt, trees, metal, etc to designated sites
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
- Coordinate with site supervisors and crew members
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety standards
Qualifications
Required
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL
- Clean driving record (MVR review required)
- Experience with end dumps and/or side dumps
- Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen
- Valid DOT Medical certificate
- Strong sense of punctuality and reliability
- Ability to work in outdoor, active construction/demolition environments
Preferred
- Experience transporting heavy equipment (lowboy)
- Familiarity with demolition or construction job site operations
- Experience with oversized/overweight load permits
- Basic mechanic abilities
- Proficient in Spanish
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission trucks
