What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid New Jersey Teacher Certification in General Education K-12
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Knowledge of diverse learning needs and classroom practices that support students with emotional and behavioral challenges
- Ability to safely implement de-escalation, crisis intervention, and student support strategies
- Meet and instruct assigned classes while creating a consistent, emotionally safe learning environment for students
- Plan and deliver lessons aligned with Sage Alliance curriculum goals using a variety of instructional methods and materials
- Assess student progress, maintain required records, prepare progress reports, and communicate with parents as needed
- Establish and enforce fair classroom expectations while supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral growth
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, school events, and the Sage Alliance teacher evaluation process
