Shop Technician
Must live in Midland area - Must be over 21 years of age - Must possess a valid driver license
Summary of Position
This position is responsible for testing, cleaning, and repairing of all company equipment in an efficient and timely manner. The technician must have a strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical components. Must take initiative to get work done.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and test functionality of equipment.
- Complete daily shop requirements while complying with all company mandated safety policies and guidelines.
- Performs basic technical skills, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production/facility machines.
- Repair and sanitize all equipment.
- Apply standardized organization of the shop and equipment in designated areas.
- Contribute with the verification of trailers and equipment made ready for field use.
- Oversee and monitor the compressors, fleet of company trucks and trailers for scheduled periodic maintenance. Ensure all maintenance is tracked and recorded weekly.
- Work in conjunction with the other team members at the yard to help ensure duties are being completed.
- Monitor condition of RV’s and Document periodic maintenance performed.
- Routinely review the checking in and out of our Trucks in Google Docs and cross check with the hard copies to confirm proper procedures are being followed.
- Implement and enforce that all trucks are being cleaned, free of trash, equipment, paperwork and filled with fuel upon return. Ensure all trucks have correct fuel cards and proper insurance documentation.
- Routinely inspect that all trailers are 100% road worthy and equipped with the proper items needed.
- Monitor that housekeeping is done daily along with the trash cans being emptied. Shop must be swept and cleaned daily. Inside and outside of facility should be organized and clean
- Assist in proper closing of shop, including removal of all keys in equipment and keys stored in proper key bins.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to function in a team environment.
Individual must be self-motivated and organized.
- Must possess basic mechanical knowledge and proper use of hand and power tools.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment and random drug screening.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Must possess a clean driving record.
- Must be over 21 years old
