What You’ll Do
- Functions as part of the licensure team and must be able to work collaboratively with the treatment director and recruiter to ensure that all homes are trained appropriately.
- Coordinate and schedule the treatment/adoptive parent(s) Pre-service training program, including arranging presenters, locating/scheduling meeting sites, and notifying attendees.
- Prepares training materials, coordinate childcare and ensure all other logistics are arranged for training sessions.
- Track training sessions, ensuring the content and required number of training hours are provided according to SAFY policy and state regulations.
- Provides basic information about becoming a SAFY foster parent to families who are inquiring and families who are going through the licensing process.
- Oversees maintenance of accurate logs of all training provided to treatment/adoptive parent(s).
- Collaborate with division and region staff efforts in treatment parent retention and ongoing treatment parent trainings. Maintain calendar and scheduling.
- Work with recruiter to develop public relations strategies for recruitment, retention, and treatment parent support.
- Provide follow-up and schedule meetings with individuals inquiring about becoming foster parents. Document encounters in our
- Partner with divisional staff to hold foster parent retention events.
- Provides general administrative support such as ordering supplies and gathering references for potential foster families and staff.
Other:
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of SAFY staff by participating in joint meetings, and problem identification and resolution.
- Establish and maintain a supportive and positive working relationship with youth, foster parents, referring agencies, and other SAFY stakeholders.
- Attend relevant in-house and external seminars, trainings, conferences and workshops to develop and enhance knowledge in the designated area as well as achieve relevant education hours per year to enhance professional and job-related skills.
- Attends required meetings within division, region, and central office (team and/or community partners).
- Meets regularly with supervisor to discuss issues and performance.
- Sensitive and responsive to the cultural differences of staff, SAFY youth, foster parents, referral sources and the public.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, sociology, child & family studies, or other approved related field of human services, preferred.
- Two to four years of relevant experience working with families and children experiencing the child welfare system.
- Valid driver license, acceptable driving record and auto insurance coverage to meet travel requirements; may require transporting youth if needed.

- Compensation is commensurate with transferrable experience, education and licensure of candidate, location of the position, along with internal equity and budgeted amount for the role.
