Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance, including lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and determine appropriate repair solutions
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to complete repairs safely and efficiently
- Test and verify equipment functionality following repairs or maintenance
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and maintenance documentation
- Identify potential safety issues and recommend corrective actions
- Comply with all company policies, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications
- Communicate repair status, findings, and recommendations to supervisors or customers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred
- Previous experience as a service mechanic or in a related mechanical role
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documents
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and communicate with the team
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs or more
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces for extended periods
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work for extended periods on feet
- Work performed in shop, field, or customer-site locations
- Exposure to noise, grease, fumes, and dust
- May require overtime or travel for training
