Job Description
As a Logistics Manager at Safran Electronics & Defense – Actuation, you will oversee, coordinate, and measure the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials, components, and finished products. You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth supply chain operation, compliance to Export and Trade Regulations, and timely delivery of goods to our customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and manage the day-to-day logistics activities, primarily including shipping, receiving, and paperwork generation
- Coordinate with suppliers, internal teams, and logistics service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods
- Monitor and analyze logistics KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, company policies, and safety standards
- Manage logistics documentation, customs clearance, and related administrative tasks
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and digital transformation projects within the supply chain
- Hands on role including processing shipping transactions in SAP
- Troubleshoot and resolve transactional and documentation issues
- Supervise 1 or more Logistics Coordinators
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field
- 5 years proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or distribution management, ideally within the aerospace or industrial sector
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence outcomes
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Strong working knowledge of ERP(SAP) systems
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office programs, especially Excel
- Results-driven with a proactive approach to problem solving
Preferred
- Fluent in English; French language skills are a plus
- Previous export experience preferred.
