Position Profile
The Electrical Engineering Intern will participate in the development of hand-held camera systems (thermal, visible, infrared) and laser devices (range finders, aiming lasers, laser illumination). This role will work closely with members of the engineering staff to conduct testing, reduce data, and assist on active projects. Much of the work will be hands-on and, in the lab, with opportunities to exercise math models, conduct analysis, or use design software to accomplish tasks.

Position Profile
The Electrical Engineering Intern will participate in the development of hand-held camera systems (thermal, visible, infrared) and laser devices (range finders, aiming lasers, laser illumination). This role will work closely with members of the engineering staff to conduct testing, reduce data, and assist on active projects. Much of the work will be hands-on and, in the lab, with opportunities to exercise math models, conduct analysis, or use design software to accomplish tasks.
Responsibilities
- Support design and development activities. Assist in the creation of electrical schematics, layouts, and wiring diagrams under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Perform testing and data collection on electrical components, circuits, and systems to ensure compliance with project specifications. Prepare and present detailed reports on test results, measurements, and findings. Troubleshoot and debug electrical and electronic systems as required.
- Develop and maintain accurate documentation, including specifications, procedures, and technical drawings.
- Conduct research to support design improvements and innovation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and industry regulations while conducting tests and performing hands-on tasks.
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be actively working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering
- Career interest in product design and development
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Good problem-solving skills and strong mechanical aptitude
- Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to set and accomplish goals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels.
- US Citizenship or Permanent Resident
- Altium and CAD experience is a plus
- Experience working in an ITAR environment
