Summary
The Operations Manager for Safire Technology Group, Inc. (“Safire”) is our primary leader for creating, iterating, and implementing successfully the efficient and effective operations of Safire in a manner consistent with our values.
Position Description
The Operations Manager is responsible for creating, iterating, and implementing our operational efficiency, processes and systems, and managing the company’s Los Angeles facility. This role reports to the Chief of Staff (Executive) and involves frequent team collaboration with a people-first approach. The successful candidate will work primarily at the company’s Los Angeles (Culver City) facility. Travel may be required occasionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilities Management: Directly responsible for day-to-day operations at the Los Angles (Culver City) facility, including equipment and purchasing, vendor management, building security and access, risk management, compliance, utilities, janitorial services, and front desk.
- Operational Leadership: Own and optimize our internal operations systems and processes to drive efficiency, accountability, team collaboration, and improved performance in a manner consistent with our values.
- Financial Systems: Issue and track our purchase orders, validate our external accounting team’s monthly reconciliation of account transactions, create monthly financial reports, process AR/AP, manage and track inventory and product delivery, and ensure accurate vendor information in company systems. Participate in annual budget and tax preparation process, financial modeling, fundraising diligence, and tax preparation.
- People Operations: Implement and improve our processes for hiring of personnel, successful onboarding, ongoing growth, and effective performance of our employees and contractors across the company, and day-to-day people operations at the Los Angeles (Culver City) facility, such as information technology needs, desks, supplies, hospitality, well-being, etc.

- Familiarity with, and a desire to serve, the defense sector.
