Manual Sewing Machine Operator

SAFEWAZE – MANUAL INDUSTRIAL SEWING MACHINE OPERATOR

We are seeking a manual industrial sewer to join our production team that is responsible for overall appearance and assembly to produce fall protection equipment, while maintaining a high level of quality standards based on product specifications and achieving production goals.

• Full time, first shift work. Monday-Thursday 7am-3:30pm, Friday 6am-2:30pm

WHAT THE ROLE DOES:

• Read and comprehend workmanship standards, verbal instructions.
• Assemble components and products according to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Operate heavy duty 3 pedal single needle sewing machine for the purpose of producing products with accuracy and speed.
• Place spools of thread, insert bobbins, and thread ends through machine guides and components.
• Perform equipment maintenance tasks such as replacing needles and cleaning sewing machine.
• Able to use reason to solve problems as they arise and follow all safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, neat work area.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience operating a Juki single needle sewing machine, experience with Singer Class 7 Industrial Sewing machine a plus.
• Must be able to read a tape measure for accuracy.
• Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate and assemble parts and components.
