Safety Worxs is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Professional to support a large-scale heavy civil infrastructure project in Central California. This role requires a strong field presence and the ability to lead safety efforts in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce site-specific safety programs in alignment with OSHA standards
- Conduct daily jobsite inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits
- Identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions
- Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and workforce engagement initiatives
- Support incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Monitor high-risk activities (excavation, heavy equipment, lifting operations, etc.)
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting
- Collaborate with project leadership and subcontractors to reinforce safety expectations
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of construction safety experience
- Heavy civil construction experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards
- CHST certification preferred
- Strong communication and field leadership skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced construction environment
