Duties

• Design, develop, and optimize Android applications tailored for medical device, ensuring high performance and usability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX/UI designers, hardware engineers, and clinical specialists to create seamless user experiences.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and web services to enable real-time data exchange between devices and cloud platforms.
• Conduct thorough user research to understand clinical workflows and incorporate feedback into application improvements.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of development processes, API integrations, and technical specifications in line with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards.

Skills

• Proficiency in Android development using Java, Kotlin, and related SDKs.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML for data interchange and web services integration.
• Knowledge of design patterns including MVC, MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel), and OOP concepts for robust architecture.
• Familiarity with user research methodologies to enhance UX/UI design tailored for healthcare professionals and patients.
• Hands-on experience with multithreading, debugging tools, and performance optimization techniques on Android platforms.
• Understanding of computer networking principles relevant to secure data transmission in medical environments.
• Knowledge of Agile development practices including Jira project management; familiarity with SDLC processes specific to medical device software development.
• Skills in UI/UX design principles for mobile applications; experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript for hybrid or web-based components is a plus.
