Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our team. The cook is responsible for preparing food to be served, complying with all applicable sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards and following established food production programs and procedures.
Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Assist in menu planning, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while working in the kitchen environment.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Familiarity with menu planning and dietary department requirements is preferred.
