SafetyNet Behavioral Healthcare is currently accepting applications for a Clinical Nurse Manager in the Minter, AL location.
SafetyNet Behavioral Healthcare-The Ranch is a residential, psych under 21, treatment program housing up to 40-56 male residents ages 10 to 18.
The Nurse Manager, works closely with other departments and disciplines in order to provide residents with the highest quality of care possible.
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of the nursing department. This includes the allocation/provision of resources to nursing personnel, efficiency of services rendered to residents, and the effectiveness of those services.
The Nurse Manager reports to a designated senior manager, while collaborating with an inter-disciplinary team, which includes a social service/counseling department, educational department, direct care department, food services department, and various other standard organizational departments.
The Nurse Manager is a salaried position in which the individual selected is expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week in edition to periods of being on-call (by phone only) and at times filling shifts if no other nurse is available to cover a shift.
Description:
· The Nurse Manager ensures that the nursing department personnel implements and complies with all SafetyNet policies, procedures, and standards. This includes possessing and exhibiting the knowledge of local, state, federal, and other applicable healthcare regulations. In addition to the before mentioned, it is essential that the Nurse Manager possess a clinical understanding and skills needed to work in a behavioral health setting with adolescents. More specifically, the position is responsible for scheduling nurses to cover shifts; coaches, counsels, and disciplines nursing staff as needed; participates in resident admissions as specified in policies, assist/manage the tasks such as timekeeping, nurse scheduling, oversight of staffing functions, and participation in the admission process.
· The position necessitates effective communication skills, the ability to motivate others, the ability to work in high stress crisis situations, excellent written and verbal skills. Effective organizational, decision making, and problem solving skills are a must. Lastly, the Nurse Manager must have reliable personal transportation that he/she can use on a daily basis to get to/from the office as well as some on-campus use.

· Education:
· Current RN licensure in the State of Alabama
· Current CPR/BLS
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Outlook and Excel.
Requirements:
· Current/Valid Alabama Driver's License
· Must be 25 years of age to apply
· Must reside within 60 miles of the facility location
· Supervisory experience of at least 2 years
· 1 year of Psychiatric Nursing experience preferred but not required
· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and quickly adapt to changing workload (census)
