Foreman

SafetyFirst Playground Maintenance is a family owned and operated playground maintenance company. We repair, replace and install commercial playground surfacing and equipment throughout Minnesota and the surrounding states. At SafetyFirst we live by our motto: “The difference is in the details.”

SafetyFirst is looking to expand our leadership team with the addition of a playground maintenance and wood chip crew foreman. This is a year round, full time position with benefits and incentives. Our crew foreman will lead 2-4 laborers in completing projects from start to finish on time and leaving our jobsite neat and clean, beyond what our customers expect. Our ideal candidate is a talented self-starter and will have 5 years construction experience, with experience managing a small group of other employees, reading blueprints, and running heavy equipment. You must pass a drug test and criminal background check. While our service area is vast and we do travel daily a majority of your days will start and end at the shop.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversees loading of vehicles heading for jobsite and verifies materials are correct
• Picks up any additional material needed.
• Performs quality control inspection at job completion
• Notifies operations manager of any schedule changes.
• Notifies operations manager of job completion.
• Take pictures of jobs, before, during, and after
• Lead and supervise playground installation / surfacing crews on job sites
• Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for leadership, inspectors, and clients
• Coordinate workflow to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Required Qualifications Include:

• 5 years construction experience
• Thorough organizational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Clear ability to manage time
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Experience reading equipment blueprints
• Excellent equipment operation skills
• Precise decision making skills
• Good time management

Preferred Qualifications:

· Certified Playground Safety Inspector

· Landscaping or school maintenance experience

· Playground construction experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
