Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and motivated Safety Technicians and Safety Specialists to join our team on a contractor basis. This role is ideal for individuals ranging from newly trained safety professionals to seasoned experts. As a contractor, you will play a vital role in supporting various projects while promoting a culture of safety. This position offers the opportunity to transition into a full-time role with significant potential for career growth, advancement, and access to excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide technical expertise in safety and health to effectively support project teams.

· Maintain a strong, visible presence in the field to ensure adherence to safety protocols on assigned projects.

· Conduct field safety observations, deliver safety training sessions, and promote safe work practices.

· Collaborate with project teams on safety-related planning, hazard identification, and problem-solving initiatives.

· Actively observe and coach teams on daily hazard plans, identifying risky behaviors and reinforcing safe practices.

· Assist in the development, communication, and promotion of company-wide safety programs and initiatives.

· Ensure corrective actions for incidents and observations are implemented and verified.

· Complete all required safety reports, documentation, and compliance records accurately and on time.

· Travel to various job locations as needed to support projects.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 1–10 years in a safety-related role, with proven expertise in occupational safety practices.

· OSHA 30 certification preferred.

· First Aid/ AED/ CPR certification preferred.

· OSHA 510 or 511 certification preferred.

· OSHA 500 or 501 certification preferred.

· Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) preferred.

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Skills:

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to teach, mentor, and effectively engage with supervisors and construction tradespeople on safety-related topics.

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, experience using tablets and mobile devices, and the ability to quickly learn and utilize safety-related software and applications.

· Highly organized, with the ability to manage tasks and achieve objectives independently, with minimal supervision.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour

  • EHS: 1 year (Required)
