GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Safety Test Tool Service Center provides set-up and assembly of new tools, as well as; service, repair and testing of in-use equipment from the field. The Tool Repair Technician will be expected to assemble tools and build cable assemblies, as well as clean and repair cable/fiberglass.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor inventories
- Manage and prioritize daily workflow
- Repair customer tools in a timely basis
- Build cable assemblies as specified
- Complete work orders as specified
- Complete work as stated by customers
- Operate an industrial fork truck
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of shop
EDUCATION & TRAINING & LICENSURES
- High School Diploma or equivalency
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 75 Pounds
- Stand for long periods of time
- Bend, walk, sit and twist
- Climb a ladder
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to fully understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Good mechanical aptitude; basic computing skills
- Capable of cleaning and repairing both cable/fiberglass
- Ability to operate basic office equipment (printer, computer, copy machine, telephone system)
- Skilled in reading tool breakdowns and manuals
- Ability to maintain a high attention to detail
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and possess a team-oriented mentality
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily indoors; occasionally may work in outside environments
HOURS / SHIFTS
Mon-Fri; First Shift; Overtime as necessary during week or weekend based on demand
