Summary:

Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, S.C. is one of the premier mixed use developments in the South Carolina Low Country serving, foremost, the residents and members, as well as, the guests of the ultra-luxury Montage Palmetto Bluff resort. We have openings for the Main Gate.

This position is the operational hub of Palmetto Bluff and the first impression they make and the high visibility of this post.

Besides our residents, members, and visitor business, Palmetto Bluff and Montage Palmetto Bluff also plans, presents, and hosts numerous special events throughout the year that are Low Country favorites and attended by local residents and visitors from all over the world.

We seek special candidates that are team players and who will help improve the guest and visitor experience to Palmetto Bluff clients. As a Palmetto Bluff Security Officer, you will have the opportunity to serve in many capacities of our operation including but not limited to control the entrance to the property and hospitality. It is essential that all our officers portray a friendly and professional image.

Duties:

Must have a can-do attitude, a positive disposition, must be DEPENDABLE, possess good oral and communication skills, have a passion for interacting with and meeting the public with the ability to remain positive no matter the circumstance.

Candidate must possess problem solving skills as you will be controlling entrance to this exclusive community when issuing a variety of passes, giving directions to specific locations, and dispatching security offices when needed. In this position, candidates must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. When working the front gate during peak times, traffic lines could be backed up, so candidates for this position must be able to work quickly and efficiently, and accurately – but must do so with a customer service, friendly attitude and disposition.

· Emergency Calls: Our main gate is our command post on property and dispatches all calls to officers with immediate response, following a chain of notification policy.

· Law enforcement and military back ground is a plus but not necessary

Qualifications:

· Good oral and communication skills

· Can do attitude a must.

· Must be neat and well groomed.

· Ability to handle all aspects of our admission procedures at the front gate throughout the day. Ability to multitask.

· Ability to stand for long periods of time.

· Previous experience with customer service preferred.

· Computer skills helpful.

· Valid driver’s license.

Ability to pass background check.

Ability to lift 50 pounds.
