We are seeking a Construction Site Safety Representative for a major healthcare project in Indianapolis, Indiana. This full-time position is local to the Indianapolis area and requires 40 hours per week on-site.
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety and be able to effectively engage with field personnel, subcontractors, and site management. This role is critical in supporting safe work practices, conducting daily safety inspections, and maintaining site compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform daily site inspections, walking several miles per day.
• Manage and review safety permits and siting documentation, including photographs.
• Identify hazards and support the implementation of corrective actions.
• Participate in safety meetings, incident investigations, and job hazard analyses.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a safety-related field or minimum 5 years of safety experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (within the last 5 years).
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and other federal/state construction safety regulations.
• Strong field safety experience and knowledge of construction safety standards.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience writing safety procedures, incident reports, and audit findings.
Preferred Qualifications:
• CHST certification
• OSHA 500 completed within the last 5 years
