What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Operations Specialist position at SAFETY RAIL COMPANY LLC?
The Field Operations Specialist helps execute site inspections at our client facilities. This is a crucial role that assists our sales teams with in-person visits to our customers to create highly detailed, OSHA-Compliant, Fall Protection Plans that SRC can implement for our customers. The Field Operations Specialist is often the first person from SRC to be face-to-face with the customer. Therefore, professionalism, communication, and presentation skills are highly important to effectively represent the company’s mission and beliefs. The Field Operations Specialist helps the customers by traveling to meet them and taking measurements and pictures of the job site to solve their Fall Protection needs. This requires using technical knowledge, design skills, organizational and customer knowledge to assist them in applying the products/services to their needs. In addition, this process develops new opportunities and interacts with existing customers to increase sales.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of conditions in construction, food production, manufacturing, and other types of job sites. The noise level at the job sites can be loud and individuals must be comfortable with heights and changing weather conditions.
• Serve as a critical link between sales, engineering, and clients by gathering site-specific information.
• Use and maintain software applications such as Microsoft Office, NetSuite, Adobe Acrobat, and spreadsheets.
• Translate engineering sketches and specifications into layouts that CAD technicians can use to create Fall Protection Plans.
• Travel independently across the U.S., with up to 50% travel required (typically 2-3 times per month)
• Conduct site measurements, interpret drawings, and provide insights to develop effective fall protection solutions.
• Plan and manage your own travel arrangements efficiently.
• Accept engineering sketches and/or design specifications and detail them into layouts that can be easily translated by CAD Techs to create suitable Fall Protection Plans for the customer.
• Perform QA Reviews of CAD models for accuracy
• Present and review finalized CAD models with clients, incorporating feedback for final approval.
• Develop and maintain communication in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers using established guidelines.
• Collaborate with the in-house engineering team to develop tailored fall protection solutions.
• Leverage technical and design expertise to recommend appropriate products and services to meet client needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers to identify opportunities and drive sales growth.
• Follow projects from inception to completion. Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Physical ability to climb up on rooftops to perform a complete site inspection.
• Participate as part of a team with suggestions of development for new products, modification of existing products, and termination of ineffective products
• Ability to move safely over uneven terrain
• Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
• Ability to work in inclement weather
Salary : $50,000 - $65,000
