Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Occupational Health Paramedic to join our clinical team. This role focuses on preventative healthcare, workplace injury management, regulatory compliance testing, and day-to-day clinical support.
The ideal candidate brings strong clinical assessment skills, exceptional patient care, and a detailed approach to clinical administration in a structured clinic environment.
Position Type: Full-Time (10-Hour Shifts | Monday β Friday, with occasional Saturdays
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Occupational Testing
Perform routine medical screenings, including drug and alcohol testing following DOT and non-DOT protocol guidelines.
Conduct respiratory fit testing (quantitative and qualitative) and pulmonary function testing (PFTs) in compliance with OSHA standards.
Provide initial triage, first aid, and emergency stabilization for workplace injuries or sudden illnesses occurring on-site.
Administrative & Clerical Support
Complete accurate electronic medical record (EMR) documentation for patient visits and testing results.
Manage clinical paperwork, including chain-of-custody forms for drug testing and OSHA compliance records.
Maintain inventory of medical supplies, ensure proper equipment calibration, and manage stock orders.
Schedule & Working Conditions
Shift Structure: 10-hour workdays.
Days: Monday through Friday, with rotating coverage for occasional Saturdays.
Environment: Outpatient occupational health clinic / corporate medical department.
Qualifications & Requirements
Certification: Active Paramedic License/Certification (State/NREMT) in good standing.
Basic/Advanced Life Support: Current CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Experience:
Prior paramedic experience (pre-hospital or clinical setting) required.
Experience with occupational health testing (drug/alcohol, fit testing) is a plus (training will be provided for specific certifications).
Skills:
Proficient in clinical documentation and comfortable using EMR systems and basic office software.
Strong communication skills with an emphasis on communicating with client.
Excellent attention to detail regarding regulatory compliance and chain-of-custody protocols.
