What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Instructor Paramedic position at Safety Management Systems?
Are you a passionate Paramedic who enjoys teaching and developing the next generation of healthcare and emergency response professionals? We're looking for a Medical Instructor – Paramedic to join our growing training team in Lafayette, Louisiana.
In this role, you will:
✅ Coordinate and schedule medical training classes with clients
✅ Instruct a variety of medical and industry-specific courses
✅ Partner with LABEMS to facilitate student certifications
✅ Develop and maintain training curriculum and course materials
✅ Conduct hands-on training using simulations, team exercises, discussions, and lectures
✅ Support ongoing employee and customer training initiatives
✅ Coordinate off-site training courses and equipment logistics
Qualifications:
✔ Nationally and State Certified Paramedic
✔ 5 years of experience functioning as a Paramedic preferred
✔ Previous instructional experience preferred
✔ Current MFA, AHA-BLS, and ACLS certifications
✔ HSI, PHTLS, AMLS, and PALS Instructor certifications are a plus
✔ Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
✔ Ability to travel as needed
✔ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
