Safety Management Group seeks a local EHS Analyst – General Industry – Georgetown, KY.
The key function of an EHS Analyst is to put Safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client’s needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change and travel. The Associate in this role will be working in a manufacturing/General Industry setting.
Shift: 8am - 5pm. At times, may need to stay over on 2nd shift to oversee safety.
Overview of Job Responsibilities:
- Site safety observations, including documentation of findings
- Oversee production floor staff
- Audit Safety and Environmental management systems
- Create PowerPoint presentations
- Facilitates corrective measures
- Conduct weekly training consisting of but not limited to orientation, lockout tagout, fall protection, and job hazard analysis preparation
- Provide safety leadership for employees
- Conduct formal safety observations and coach contractors on observation accuracy
- Review contractor JHA’s to confirm completeness and accuracy of work being performed
- Lead, support, and participate in key safety initiatives
- Promote the client's core values: Motivate, Collaborate, Appreciate, Innovate, Relate
- Work in tandem with another Safety team member
Requirements
- Three plus years of General Industry safety experience
- OSHA 30hr - GI preferred
- A degree in Safety or a related field is preferred
- Hazard Risk Assessment experience
- Experience conducting safety trainings - forklift, storage, etc.
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must be able to perform independently with minimum direct supervision
- Professional certification preferred (CSP, ASP, CHST, CIH, etc.)
Physical Demands of the job may include:
- Moving about long distances
- Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders
- Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period
- Working in extreme weather
- Being exposed to loud noises
- Wearing personal protective gear correctly
