Sales Manager

Safety Harbor Resort and Spa is looking for a seasoned sales manager who will drive the sales process in order to achieve revenue goals in his/her market. This individual must be a creative, high energy, hands on, take charge sales professional with proven sales skills. Additional characteristics include:

• • • Experience in local and national corporate markets and SMERF market
    • Prospect for new group business and research business on-line
    • Respond to inquiries and ?requests for proposals?
    • Solicit and book programs which maximize revenue for Rooms, Food and Beverage, meeting room rental, etc.
    • Travel and make Sales Calls to promote facilities including appointments in your own location as well as occasional trips to other locations for Trade Shows, Familiarization Events, Site Inspections, etc.
    • Consistently meet measurable objectives for properties sales growth.
    • Attend industry events
    • Excellent oral, written, verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills required.
    • Research client room night histories for previous meetings and manage the room block for the time of the meeting until the meeting begins.
    • Maintain in-depth account files in Delphi along with hard files
    • Neat and professional appearance
    • Understand sales strategies and tactics of competitor hotels
    • Negotiate all rates for group accounts within the guidelines of our budgeted average rate

Requirements:

• Previous hotel sales experience REQUIRED.
• High School Diploma and/or Four year Business/Marketing College Degree or equivalent experience.
• Highly motivated individual with strong initiative and desire for achievement.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills required.
• Strong desire to achieve bottom-line results a must.
• Experience using SalesForce, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
• Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as needed
