Safety Harbor Montessori Academy is a well-established school located in beautiful Clearwater, Florida.
We are currently seeking a part-time teacher to join our team. This role focuses primarily on teaching higher-level math (especially Algebra) and supporting the classrooms through occasional substitution and general assistance in other areas.
Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated, flexible, and passionate Mathematics Teacher who is enthusiastic about education and eager to work with adolescents in a Montessori setting. The ideal candidate will bring strong content knowledge in math, classroom management skills, and an openness to the Montessori philosophy.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach higher-level math, with an emphasis on Algebra, to middle school students
- Support classroom activities and collaborate with lead teachers
- Serve as a substitute or assistant in other areas as needed
- Foster a positive, respectful, and engaging classroom environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Experience working with children or adolescents
- Strong classroom management and behavior management techniques
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Interest in Montessori education (experience with Montessori is a plus)
- A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring students in their academic journey
