Part-Time Security Guard - Weekends Overnight

Safety Facility Services is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Security Officer to support operations at a variety of sites in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and service.

Site Location: Brooklyn, NY 10018

Schedules: Saturday-Sunday | 10:00pm - 6:00am

Requirements:

• Must have an active security guard license

Job Description:

• Surveillance & Patrol - Monitor premises (on foot or via cameras/alarms), watch for suspicious activity or hazards.
• Access Control-Check IDs/credentials, manage visitor sign-in, enforce restricted areas.
• Emergency Response – React to alarms, disturbances, or medical/fire emergencies; coordinate with police/EMS; provide first aid if trained.
• Reporting – Log shifts and incidents, write detailed reports on theft, accidents, or breaches.
• Public Interaction – Greet visitors, answer questions, de-escalate conflicts, serve as a visible deterrent.
• Property Protection – Prevent theft/vandalism, secure entry points at open/close, keep exits and walkways clear.
• Policy Enforcement – Uphold site-specific rules and legal limits on use of force/detainment.

Who You Are:

• Adaptable and capable of performing effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic clinical setting.Comfortable working in a healthcare environment and interacting professionally with patients, visitors, and medical staff.
• Able to remain standing and actively patrol the facility for extended periods, including shifts of up to 8 hours.
• Possesses a professional, confident demeanor and a strong commitment to customer service.
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact courteously and effectively with diverse populations.
• Works collaboratively with clinic personnel, management, maintenance staff, and other on-site team members to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
• Self-motivated and capable of performing duties independently while exercising sound judgment with minimal supervision.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining an outstanding attendance record and consistent professional performance.
