The State of New Hampshire, Department of Safety, Division of Administration, Asset and Resource Management Bureau has a full-time vacancy for a Stock Clerk (43-5070 INVENTORY CLERKS-2) which has a 40 hour work week and is considered non-exempt.
Summary:
Monitors the receipt, storage, distribution, ordering of license plates, decals and supplies in the Department of Safety Warehouse and shipping and delivery throughout the state.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent credential
License/Certification: Valid driver's license

1. Must pass a fingerprint based criminal background check and motor vehicle record check in order to ensure suitability for exposure to confidential information
2. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred experience in inventory control or stock record keeping, data entry, delivery driver, or with customer service phone skills.

When applicable, the work of an employee in trainee status in this position shall be overseen by a fully qualified individual. Responsibilities:
Prepares inventory of plates, decals and forms for distribution out of the warehouse to municipal agents and DMV sub stations. Coordinates the plate-room courier route for statewide delivery.
Provides courier service to multiple locations throughout the state to deliver plates, decals and plateroom supplies. Receives plate room materials such as printed matter, crates of license plates, decals and other stocked items. Handles cartons weighing up to 40 pounds and moves pallets to enter items into inventory. Sorts and packs used plates for recycling and delivers to scrap yard.
Monitors inventory levels of materials on hand to ensure accurate records and to avoid supply shortages or overages. Performs periodic inventory counts of all inventory items and communicates results to the supervisor.
Performs data entry of inventory information within the VISION system to accurately create and maintain record of supplies for the warehouse and to track the movement of supplies between the warehouse, municipal agents and DMV substations. Performs general research to assess delivery-tracking information to ensure accurate delivery and inventory of plates and decals.
Assists with ordering of supplies by assessing current supplies and reporting procurement needs to supervisors. Receives and inspects plates and decals from vendor and determines placement within the warehouse. Opens and sorts incoming plate mail from Municipal Agents.
Operates truck and warehouse equipment to do routine tasks related to receiving and distributing supplies. Performs minor repairs to warehouse equipment as needed. Picks up incoming plates and unloads into the warehouse.
Tracks the distribution of items including plates, decals and paper temporary plates. Documents transfers of all plate types by creating customer receipts and transfer sheets. Moves and organizes plate inventory, including manual work to restock plates as necessary.
Maintains plate room vehicles by washing, vacuuming and turning in appropriate reports and forms.
Communicates with Department of Corrections to facilitate and follow up on emergency plate orders.
