Program Staff 1 (Bilingual Spanish Administrative Assistant)
Job Summary: The Bilingual Program Staff I is an essential member of the team supporting Safety Centers DUI program.
The Bilingual Program Staff I performs a variety of assigned clerical duties to help create positive client experiences from enrollment through to class completion by connecting clients with appropriate programs and resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Compile and maintain all records of business transactions and office activities related to the daily operation of the department.
- Identify client needs, enroll them in the appropriate program and process payments per company procedures.
- Set up client programs and payment schedules and prepare DL107 and proof of enrollment certificates.
- Track client attendance and process completion certificates or provide appropriate notification to the courts as required for non-compliance.
- Provide timely information in response to phone and mail inquiries about DUI programs to ensure positive customer experiences.
- Display courtesy and empathy in difficult and emotional customer situations.
- Other duties as required to meet the needs of our clients, our employees and Safety Center as a whole.
- Program Staff members may be designated to a specific department (e.g., call center, attendance, completions, intake) for their primary duties and responsibilities. However, it is essential for them to undergo cross-training in all departments and remain adaptable to perform tasks as assigned, to address evolving business requirements.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required
- Ability to get along and work effectively with others
Requirements of Successful Candidates:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Less than 1-year experience in an office environment
- Less than 1-year of administrative support experience for a DUI program
- Bilingual (Spanish) Speak, read and write
- Excellent, predictable attendance
- Experience using internet software, including Zoom and video conferencing technology, intermediate in MS Office suite
- Knowledge of basic office equipment should include: Internet and email, copy and fax machines, postage meter and telephone

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Bilingual team members with demonstrated fluency in all levels of communication (speaking, writing, reading) in English and a second language that benefits the clients and organization (current needs are Spanish or Russian languages) may be eligible for an additional $500 annual bonus award.

Hours: M-Th 8:30 to 5:30 Fri- 8am to 5pm
Salary : $40,000 - $70,000
