Position Description: Summary : Safety Center, a Sacramento California-based non-profit is on the journey to becoming the nations premier provider of safety training and education. We are seeking a talented Recruiter to help us identify talented colleagues to join our team. This is a contract position (3-month contract with potential for extension).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Represent Safety Center with prospective colleagues in a way consistent with our desired culture
Source candidates (actively and passively) via job boards, social media, and other available resources
Collaborate with internal managers to understand the characteristics of ideal candidates
Execute in-depth screening and assessments of prospective colleagues
Coordinate prospective colleague interviews with hiring manages
Network with prospective candidates and current employees to develop a pipeline of future talent
Track and report recruiting KPIs through our internal applicant tracking system
Regular, predictable attendance is required
Ability to get along and work effectively with others
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory duties.
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of three years of direct recruiting experience with heavy sourcing expectations
Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices associated with hiring and recruiting in California
Proven success recruiting within diverse industries and diverse skill sets
Outside-the-box thinking
Experienced with CRM or applicant tracking systems
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, governmental bodies/boards, and the general public.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software and the Microsoft Office Suite of products. Knowledge of basic office equipment should include: Internet and email, copy and fax machines, postage meter, and telephone
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: A current CA drivers license and proof of auto insurance are required.
Compensation: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour, Success Bonus upon completion of contract metrics: $3,500
