SafeSplash Swim Schools is looking for swim instructors to join our Lexington, MA location. At SafeSplash, we believe swimming is a life skill®. Therefore, we approach each one of our swim lessons with great skill, passion and individual attention. In addition to teaching water safety to every swimmer, our goal is to teach confidence in the water that will translate to all parts of a swimmer's life. SafeSplash® Swim Instructors are responsible for upholding and teaching in accordance with the SafeSplash® Swim School teaching standard and curriculum.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
· The main focus of a swim instructor is to teach swimming skills in accordance with SafeSplash® curriculum in a focused, fun, positive manner.
· Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and customers on their swimming efforts.
· Ensure swimmer safety by following program policies and procedures.
· Report to Deck Supervisor and Management with class information (student progress, challenges etc) to keep proper class organization.
Job Requirements:
*_Job Requirements:_*
- Previous aquatic experience (personal or professional) is required. This includes knowledge of basic strokes, ability to provide instruction and communicate clearly/effectively.
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to attend shifts regularly. Driver’s license and own transportation preferred.
- A Growth Mindset: SafeSplash instructors are always willing to learn and improve. Our instructors are trained regularly in new and improved techniques that assist students in progressing within the company curriculum.
- An ability to work independently as well as on a team, be supportive of coworkers, and accept help and feedback from Management.
- Current American Red Cross or American Lifeguard Association Lifeguard Certification required.
- Paid training in the SafeSplash® curriculum and company standard will be provided.
- 3 full shift commitment minimum.

- Commensurate with experience and skills. Raises are earned through evaluation of teaching ability, reliability, and a consistent positive attitude as well as a growth mindset.
- Signing bonus- $200 after 3 months of consistently working on our team and attending shifts; may be shorter or longer time frame depending on attendance and number of shifts worked per week.
