What are the responsibilities and job description for the Women's Shelter Attendant position at SafeSleep United?
SafeSleep United is hiring women for a full-time night shift position for their overnight shelter for women!
SafeSleep United is an overnight, low barrier, non-denominational women’s shelter, open daily from 5:45pm to 7:15am.
SafeSleep United is a program of United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley, working toward building a thriving network of resilient communities by offering a safe place to sleep and providing basic needs to women experiencing homelessness.
MISSION: Our mission is to offer a warm, secure place for unsheltered women to sleep safely.
What does low barrier mean? Low barrier reflects a housing-first approach, where people are welcomed as they are, without needing to be clean, sober, employed, or employable. We meet women where they are at, with the expectation they can do daily living activities independently and be respectful to others. We also accept pets, and moms with kids when we have the capacity.
