Role Description The Outreach and Fundraising Coordinator is a full-time role based in Fairfield, CA. This position is responsible for planning and implementing outreach activities to increase community awareness of SafeQuest Solano’s services and mission. Day-to-day tasks include organizing and attending community events, developing outreach materials, and building relationships with local organizations, schools, and businesses. The coordinator will design and execute fundraising campaigns, manage donor communications, and support grant and sponsorship efforts. The role also involves tracking outreach and fundraising metrics, collaborating with program staff, and ensuring consistent, mission-aligned messaging across all activities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to engage diverse community members, partners, and donors.
- Candidates should possess Philanthropy and Fundraising skills to develop campaigns, cultivate donor relationships, and support revenue-generating initiatives.
- Candidates should possess Event Planning skills to organize outreach events, fundraisers, and community activities from concept through execution.
- Experience with community outreach, volunteer coordination, or nonprofit development is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Fairfield, CA, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with basic office software.
- Understanding of issues related to violence prevention, advocacy, or social services is preferred.
- Relevant education or equivalent experience in communications, nonprofit management, social services, or a related field is desirable.
Physical and Sensory Requirements (with or without mechanical devices):
1. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, carry, reach, communicate verbally and in writing and have good interpersonal skills
2. Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress of the position
3. May be required to push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc. in excess of fifty (50) pounds
4. The ability to drive a vehicle and to transport yourself to various locations.
5. Vision for near/far distances, and the ability to hear conversations.
6. The ability to receive and convey detailed instructions or ideas accurately, audibly and quickly on the telephone.
7. The capacity to prepare and/or review communications on computer, on paper, in files.
