Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for internally built systems and integrated third-party platforms (Duck Creek, UniSoft, Solstice)
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing to ensure software quality and adherence to requirements
- Collaborate with developers, system engineers, and product owners to identify, document, and resolve software defects
- Participate in design and requirements reviews to ensure testability and clarity of technical specifications
- Assist in maintaining QA documentation, including test results, issue tracking, and release validation reports
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation opportunities, and best practices across systems
- Support validation of production releases and ensure post-deployment stability
- (Optional/Bonus) Participate in work quality control processes to validate data accuracy, workflow efficiency, and operational performance across systems
- Ability to use computer software to access various IT/data related systems and software
- Ability to identify, analyze, and document defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in software program functions, outputs, online screens, and content
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing, and convey technical ideas to a non-technical audience
- Ability to document, track, and communicate test plans, test results, analysis, and unresolved problems
- Ability to think critically, research, and apply findings to day-to-day assigned work
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent professional experience
- 1–3 years of experience in software quality assurance or technology-related roles
- Familiarity with QA methodologies, tools, and best practices (manual or automated)
- Experience testing enterprise systems, insurance platforms, or business applications is a plus
- Exposure to Duck Creek, UniSoft, or Solstice systems preferred but not required
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional technical teams
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining system and data integrity
- Experience with work quality control processes or performance auditing in operational environments preferred
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks or scripting (e.g., Selenium, Postman, or similar) preferred
- Understanding of API testing, SQL querying, and cloud-based systems (Azure, AWS) preferred
