Compensation: $18.50/hour (90-day introductory period)
Schedule: Day, Night, or Split Shift (based on production needs)
Reports To: Plant Manager / Production Leadership
Position Summary
The Production Crew Member / Press Operator is an entry-level manufacturing position responsible for supporting daily production operations at SafePath Products. This role is critical to the safe and efficient production of high-quality, ADA-compliant accessibility products.
This position requires attention to detail, consistency, physical endurance, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork. It is an ideal role for individuals seeking long-term growth within manufacturing and production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Press Operations
- Safely operate industrial presses and related production equipment
- Maintain daily production flow and meet established output expectations
- Load, feed, and monitor materials through hoppers, conveyors, and mixers
- Accurately stack finished products on pallets with correct counts and labeling
- Maintain daily production logs and document downtime accurately
- Maintain production pace consistent with operational standards (22–25 presses per day)
Quality Control
- Perform visual and functional quality checks on finished products
- Identify defects, inconsistencies, or quality concerns and report them to Leads or Supervisors
- Follow all company quality control standards, specifications, and procedures
- Ensure finished products meet SafePath quality expectations prior to palletizing
Safety & Housekeeping
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area at all times
- Clean under and around presses during shifts to ensure safe walkways
- Follow all OSHA and Cal/OSHA safety rules and company policies
- Adapt safely to varying temperatures, dust, odors, and industrial conditions
- Maintain clear walkways and workspaces to prevent slips, trips, or falls
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Production Leads and team members to support production goals
- Communicate equipment issues, material shortages, or quality concerns promptly
- Participate in efforts to improve production efficiency and product quality
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for an entire 8-hour shift
- Manual dexterity to handle small and detailed product components
- Ability to tolerate an industrial environment with temperature changes, dust, and odors

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Willingness to learn and follow established production processes
- Ability to work safely and efficiently at all times
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred (Not Required) Skills
- Forklift operation (Cal/OSHA compliant)
- Experience with power tools and industrial manufacturing equipment
- Ability to read tape measures, scales, and production specifications accurately
- Experience operating industrial mixers, presses, grinders, or sanding equipment
- Basic understanding of inventory handling and raw material identification
