What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Center Associate II position at Safelite?
The Distribution Center (DC) Associate II is an essential support role within Safelite’s supply chain function. This associate will be an adaptable industrial athlete tasked with performing in multiple functions in the Distribution Center with a focus on mastering MHE equipment operation including order pickers, reach trucks, and forklifts. The work you do helps get the right products to the right places at the right time to help our retail partners take care of our customers.

What You’ll Do
Using an order picker and a handheld RF scanner, you’ll pick windshields and more to support the needs of the business and customers.
Be comfortable and confident on MHE equipment after receiving training and certification from our amazing leaders.
Complete Windshield and Curved Tempered part orders.
Stock Windshields and Curved Tempered parts received from vendors accurately.
Unload daily truck deliveries to replenish inventory.
Audit glass to verify accuracy of order pickers.
Maintain safe and clean work environment.
All other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Experience with MHE equipment preferred (forklift, reach truck, order picker, etc.)
Commitment to punctuality and attendance to support your teammates.
Ability to meet all physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 35lbs repeatedly and 50lbs occasionally, and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
To safely operate the order picker and comply with equipment manufacturer specifications and required safety regulations, there is a weight limit set at 300 pounds. If you are hired to operate this equipment, you will need to weigh under 300lbs.
To be comfortable with being raised up to 40 feet on a lift to pick inventory.
Resilience to work in a variety of environmental conditions such as seasonal heat or cold and standing for long periods of time.
Willingness to support other functional areas of the distribution center as needed.
A great attitude with a service mindset.
