Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Paving and Road Maintenance Technician to join our road construction team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and improving road infrastructure by performing a variety of tasks, including road striping, sign installation, seal coating, and crack filling. This position requires someone with attention to detail, knowledge of road maintenance techniques, and the ability to work effectively in both team and independent settings.

• Road Striping & Marking: Apply roadway markings using a variety of striping equipment (paint, thermoplastic, etc.), ensuring compliance with safety standards and traffic regulations.
• Sign Installation & Maintenance: Install and maintain road signs, including regulatory, warning, and directional signs, ensuring they meet traffic safety guidelines and visibility requirements.
• Seal Coating & Crack Filling: Perform seal coating operations on pavement to extend the life of the road and prevent deterioration. Fill cracks in the roadway surface using appropriate methods and materials.
• Inspection & Quality Control: Inspect road surfaces and markings regularly to identify areas requiring maintenance or repair. Ensure that all work meets project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate and maintain various equipment and machinery, including striping machines, seal coaters, crack fillers, and road signage equipment. Ensure all tools are in good working condition.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and your team. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and report any hazards.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with other team members, contractors, and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and on time. Provide status updates and report any issues or delays promptly.

• Previous construction site experience is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions, including hot, cold, and rainy environments.
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in roadwork or construction are a plus.
• Prior experience in road maintenance, striping, or a related field preferred.
• Familiarity with road construction equipment and materials used for striping, sealing, and crack filling.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Basic knowledge of traffic safety standards and guidelines.
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
